MainStGet a look at a proposed mixed use development for Main Street at the Midtown Ventura Community Council meeting on Thursday, June 8.

The two-story building planned for 1571 East Main Street would include commercial space on the ground floor and three apartments above. The vacant lot previously housed a gas station and is at the entrance of Hobson Heights, corner of Main Street and Encinal Way.

Ventura’s Design Review Committee reviewed the proposed project in December 2016 with suggested improvements including respecting the development pattern of the street, resolve massing issues and more usable space for the residential units.

In light of President’s Trump decision last week to withdraw the United States from the Paris climate agreement, the MVCC will have a presentation on what people can do to address climate change.
