The Midtown Ventura Community Council, MVCC, will hold it's annual election meeting this Thursday, March 8 at 7 p.m.

ThomasFireAssistant Ventura Fire Chief Matt Brock along with Fire Marshall Joe Morelli will discuss how Ventura Fire covered and coordinated fighting the Thomas Fire as well as the recovery since and other preventative measures homeowners can take in the future.

Dr. Sabrina Drill, Ph.D is a Natural Resources Advisor,L.A. and Ventura Counties and Associate Director, California Naturalist, University of California Cooperative Extension. She will talk about fire recovery and fire resistant landscaping-tipping the scales towards nature.

 

The election is for the Board of Officers is open to residents, property owners or business owners within the Midtown boundaries having filled out a membership form and attended at least one meeting within the last year to be able to be eligible to run for office or vote. There is a slate of officers being offered but nominations will be taken from the floor for any of the offices of Chair, Vice-Chair, Treasurer, Secretary or Correspondence Secretary.

The meeting is in Cooper Hall, adjacent to Grace Church, at 65 MacMillan Avenue.
