With summer in full swing, the Midtown Ventura Community Council is taking a couple of months off.

The community council won’t hold general meetings for July and August but will return on September 13 for our regular meeting in Cooper Hall at Grace Church.

While the MVCC may not be meeting for a couple of months, the council will still be active in the community through Midtown Ventura’s Food Truck Friday. A portion of proceeds raised from the evening go toward the Midtown Commons, a parking lot restoration project off Thompson Boulevard that the MVCC is leading.

Food Truck Friday takes place July 20 and August 17 at the Pacific View Mall near Trader Joe’s. The trucks serve from 5-9 pm and evening includes live music and free activities for the children.

In October, Midtown Ventura’s Food Truck Friday will celebrate its fifth anniversary.
