It’s Ventura County Fair time and that’s when the Midtown Ventura Community Council takes a summer break. There will be no general meeting in August but the MVCC will hold its next general meeting on Thursday, September 12. It starts at 7 pm in Grace Church’s Cooper Hall, 65 MacMillan Avenue.

We hope you will get out to the fair that runs July 31-August 11. It’s a great opportunity to get out and support the youth and the animals they’ve raised, as well as artwork and photography from amateurs and professionals. The fair also has top musical acts playing this year including Styx, Melissa Etheridge, Brothers Osborne and more. The entertainment schedule is here.

MVCC President Dan Long also serves on the Board of Directors for the Ventura County Fairgrounds, which stages the yearly fair.
