Ventura Fire Chief David Endaya will be the featured speaker at the Midtown Ventura Community Council Meeting on Thursday, October 10.

Chief Endaya will discuss Fire Administration, Fire Operations and Fire Prevention. We have also asked him to share some of his experiences of his career as a firefighter serving in this honorable profession.

Followed by our brief Police Report, we will be voting on a few adjustments regarding our By-Laws to keep them current and reflect ever changing issues.  Voting will be near the beginning of the meeting and you do need to be eligible to vote based on our current By-Laws.

Our Spotlight on Nonprofits and Volunteers is a short 5-minute presentation and 5 minutes of questions near the start of our meetings to give an opportunity to highlight good works being done in our community. This month will be Women’s Economic Ventures, (W.E.V.). They provide business training, loans and consulting services to empower women to realize their dreams, financial independence and create successful businesses.

Also on the agenda, Craig A. Jones, Ventura Water Management Analyst ll, will be presenting information regarding “Securing Ventura’s Water Supply Future”. Lots of changes and questions in this ever-revolving resource vital to the health and future of our city.
